Designer Chorthip Lagnese’ line of fine jewelry has been selected as the 2011 AJDC New Talent Award winner.
The line offers elegant and timeless pieces for the urban professional that cares about design and appreciates simple-ness. Chorthip launched the line after four successful years at Tiffany & Company where she was one of the key designers who helped design the Frank Gehry Jewelry collection.
Born and raised in Thailand, Chorthip creates sculptural design pieces in precious metal. Her Thai, Italian and American training give her work a remarkable depth and originality. Her passion for design and culture enables her to create modern and timeless jewelry that appeals to stylist urban professional women.
She has won several prestigious awards including the Van Cleef & Arpels and the Uno A Erre and now the 2011 AJDC New Talent Award which givingher an opportunity to showcase her work at the JA show, New Designer Gallery in NY.
Prior to working at Tiffany & Co., Chorthip spent ten years designing high fashion jewelry. Chorthip’s pieces are beautiful, unique and elegant; “I create statement pieces for special occasions in addition to a range of simple and casual jewelry you will want to wear everyday”.
To give back to her community, a percentage of each sale goes towards making clean water accessible to families in rural Thailand.
